Gratitude Journaling
While reading this if you’re not already, lie flat on your back on the sofa or your bed… whatever makes you comfy. Make sure you’re in your favorite sweatshirt/ t-shirt…. Again whatever is comfy and makes you feel your best self. Now close your eyes and take a few deep breaths….. Say three things out loud that you are grateful for. Take the time to reflect and think about it….. Think about the things that seemed detrimental at one point in your life and how it has now benefited you in the long run…..
Take those three things and write it down on pen and paper. Go in detail if need be. Now read what you just wrote out loud. How do you feel?
We often overlook both the ugly and beautiful things in life. I am just as guilty as anyone else is, but I try everyday to keep up with my gratitude journal. I hope I can inspire you to do the same or to start one of your own. It doesn’t have to be anything special, as long as it has empty pages that are just waiting to be filled.
