Health & Wellness

Go outside. As simple as it may sound, we often never get enough fresh air or time with Mother Nature. Our society has evolved to where we are often kept indoors sitting behind some desk with our noses in a computer clonking away at a keyboard. God or whatever higher power you believe in never intended for us to slave our lives away just to make an extra dollar to live in some luxury apartment or house. Now more than ever, we humans struggle with anxiety, depression, and health problems more than before.

Why?

Well of course there are plenty of different factors that contribute to these issues, and a large one is a lack of being with nature. Just spending one hour a day outside walking, running, swinging in your hammock, playing with your dog, reading a book, gardening.... improves your overall mental health. If you aren't sure where to begin, try finding a group of friends to join you and stay accountable. You can also find many different Facebook groups with people who share similar goals and interests as you. Recently I signed up for a hiking trip through my local REI. The options are endless on what you can do, but if you're still stuck don't hesitate to reach out to me through my "Contact Me" form.

I won't blabber too much, but feel free to check out the link below which talks more about the benefits of getting outside.
